Domestic violence starts with how we impulsively violet our kids in the name of discipline. Unknowingly to you, you are teaching them that when you have power over another, you can do anything to them as far as you believe you are correcting them..they will learn it, they will manifest it, and the cycle will continue.

We teach them violence, we call it discipline, but violence nonetheless.

There are so many other ways of correcting and disciplining a child, why did you choose BEATING, VIOLENCE?

Can it be because that's the way you were brought up?

Can it be because that's all you know?

What if I tell you that it contributes to the violence we see in our homes and society today.

Some parents say, "there is something a child will do then you must have to beat that child to show the child that what he/she did was wrong" but that is not the only thing you are telling the child.

You are also telling the child that there is something the younger sister will do and that the only solution will be to beat the sister.

The circle continues..... 

Can we start teaching our kids that there is NO point that violence should be accepted in our homes.

Can we start exploring other means of discipline and correction, for beating is not working again. Some people that thought it worked didn't know it created only FEAR, which is even more toxic to the child in the long run.

FOR US TO HAVE INDEPENDENT + RESPONSIBLE KIDS, WE MUST STOP THE VIOLENCE IN OUR HOME!
