PRESIDENT OF KENYA 🇰🇪 WILLIAM RUTO

The President of Kenya William Ruto has asked the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni as an Elder among East African Leaders to fight to ensure that the borders that separate the country are removed and remove all other obstacles so that the countries of the East African Community are not separated by borders and there is ease of interaction between People and their businesses.

President Ruto made the request in front of Museveni today in Uganda when he was speaking at the 60th anniversary celebrations since Uganda gained independence from the British.

"Our elder Museveni has the challenge of leading us to ensure that we break down the existing borders and have a free market. East Africans cannot share hunger or poverty but we can share our opportunities and prosperity. Borders have become an obstacle for us to turn them into bridges so that people can travel and goods can be exported from the country. one to the other unconditionally"

Ruto's statement comes a few days after the former Commander of the Ugandan Army, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is the son of the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, said that the existing borders were set by the colonialists and there is no need to continue to leave them, instead East African countries should erase those borders and make one Nation.

Museveni went further and said that he had spoken to his father (President Museveni) and explained to him that the youth of East Africa have decided that the East African countries should unite and become one nation.
