GOR MAHIA was born in the late 18th century { on the shores of lake Victoria}in Kanyamwa to Ogada Ogallo from Kanyamwa and Atoka Nyokado from Kanyada.

GOR MAHIA was born in the late 18th century { on the shores of lake Victoria}in Kanyamwa to Ogada Ogallo from Kanyamwa and Atoka Nyokado from Kanyada.

GOR was the only son of his mother ATOKA in Ogada's polygamous home. Upon reaching the age of 5years,his mother ATOKA died of a mysterious disease and therefore no so long after passing away of his mother,his grandfather OGALLO summoned all of his grandsons to a meeting.

Ceremonial Bull was slaughtered and all of OGALLO's grandsons sat to receive blessings.

All of OGALLO's grandsons made a wish , they all wished to be fed meat by their grandfather except when it was Gor's turn to make a wish, he wished and demanded for his mother's ash {remains}-since he wanted to burry it in his house.

This wish shocked his grandfather....
