Pregnant for a ghost 2

Pregnant for a ghost 2.
A story written by Mmesoma Blessing.

Amaka was filled with fear as she embarked on her journey to the mortuary the following day to fulfill her task. Despite visiting numerous mortuaries in the city, she was left tired and disheartened as none of the mortuary attendants were willing to bring out a recently deceased man for her to spend the night with, despite offering them a significant sum of money.

Feeling exhausted and aware that time was not on her side, Amaka realized that she had already used up one of the two days given to her by the native doctor to complete the task, with no progress to show for it. Upon returning to her home, she prepared herself to set out again the next day.

It was early in the morning, and Amaka woke up, quickly prepared herself, and set out for her journey. She had decided to visit the neighbouring city to see if she could complete the task.

Roaming all through the city of Port Harcourt, Amaka was yet unsuccessful. Fear was evident on her face, and she was losing her patience. "What have I gotten myself into? If I don't complete this task, this God of Serpent might end my life," Amaka said as she continued her search.

Just as her hope was about to wane, Amaka saw an ambulance parked in front of a mortuary with people crying around it. She moved closer to find out what was happening.

"Why do you have to leave us now? Please, come back," one of the crying ladies said. It was obvious that she had lost her newly wedded husband and hadn't been able to give him a child.

Amaka waited patiently for them to leave before going into the mortuary.

As they tearfully left, she entered the mortuary and headed to see the mortuary attendant.

"Please, can you help me out? I need to sleep with the man who was brought here not long ago. I'm ready to pay any amount of money for that. Just name your price," Amaka told the mortuary attendant.

The young guy, in need of money, and seeing this opportunity to make some quick cash, couldn't resist it. "Omo, people dey o! wetin this fine girl wan gain from sleeping with a dead man. She for come to me nah," the mortuary attendant said to himself as he went into the mortuary and brought out the corpse. He placed it in an empty room beside the mortuary and asked Amaka to go inside and do what she wanted with it.

Amaka quickly entered the room and applied the substance the native doctor had given her to the man's body, causing his ghost to appear before her. Despite her fear, Amaka knew she couldn't back down from completing the task at hand . The ghost approached her and started making love to her.

Once the ghost had finished, it smiled to itself and returned to its lifeless body. Amaka proceeded to take out a water can and a small towel from her bag. She carefully wiped the corpse with the towel, then squeezed out the water back into the can.

"Finally, my task is done. Let's see if Betty can outsell me now," Amaka muttered to herself as she left the room and made her way to the mortuary attendant.

She paid him the agreed amount of money, then departed, making her way to the native doctor's shrine to complete the ritual.

At the native doctor's shrine, Amaka handed the water to him and he proceeded to add some powdered substance into it. "You should use this water to cook. Just add a drop of it to your Jollof rice and you will see a significant increase in your sales. Anyone who eats from your shop will unknowingly lose their destiny. This will ensure that you sell more and more," the native doctor informed Amaka, who couldn't contain her excitement, smiling from ear to ear.

Amaka gratefully accepted the water and left the shrine, eager to try out the powerful potion and see the promised results in her business.

The following day, following the instructions of the native doctor, she added a drop of the water to her Jollof rice. Taking her food to the market, Amaka was prepared to show Betty with what she has got.

Betty was shocked as her customers flocked to Amaka's shop, forming long line just to buy food from her. Some went as far as washing the plates for her, eager to be served first.

Throughout the day, Betty didn't make a single sale. She was surprised and confused by the sudden turn of events.

This pattern persisted for weeks, eventually leading Betty to close down her food business.

Amaka was overjoyed and shared the good news to Christabel. '' My God has done it for me.'' Amaka said.
Christabel shared in Amaka's happiness, congratulating her on her remarkable achievement.

One early morning, Amaka felt sick. Her constant vomiting added to her worries. She was unable to cook that day because of tiredness.
Not wasting time, she set out to the hospital where the doctor ran a quick test on her, informing her that she was 3 weeks pregnant.
Amaka couldn't understand what was happening. "Doctor, I haven't slept with any man before," Amaka said.
"You're not Mary, the mother of Jesus. You might have unknowingly gotten yourself with a guy. You don't need to pretend. Just go home and take care of yourself and the baby," the doctor said, prescribing drugs for her.

As Amaka left the hospital, she was confused.
"Could it be that the ghost is responsible for this pregnancy? Is that even possible? A ghost impregnating a living? Am I pregnant for a ghost?" Amaka thought aloud.

Do you think there's any consequences in this pregnancy?
Where do you buy the food you eat?
Have you unknowingly lost your destiny because of it?
