    Some migrated to Polinesian Islands (New Guinea) then to New Zealand around 450 000 years ago. Europeans found them there around 3000 years ago and they got colonised. The identity of the Batonga was then used to identify the people in New Zealand we have now come to know as the Maori tribe....
