THE AFRICAN TABOOS - THE KIKUYU

THE AFRICAN TABOOS - THE KIKUYU

Taboos were a critical ingredient in African society to help in maintaining cohesion and discipline.
They were used to protect the most ,admired, respected or revered values and items mostly food, sexuality and the old .

In morima , it was a taboo for relatives to enjoy Wembley stadium, it was a serious offense ,this days cousins will volley at each other with reckless abandon.

It was a taboo for a man/ woman to pass through a supported banana tree - an accident would make a fruiting banana to fall and deny children food.

It was a taboo for a man to take another woman in his matrimonial Wembley even when the wife is dead .

It was a taboo for a man to buy land at his inlaws place - it was total lack of head 🗣️ - today akina kababa will do it ,what happens if the wife decides to run away ,saitan!

It was a taboo for a man to buy meat for a married woman - what happens after eating meat she becomes indebted, these days they buy them even alcohol and escort them home and if the calabash leaks with stitches.
 kugongewa is easy.

It was a taboo to suckle breasts that are not your mothers yayeee - Robert Biu will tell you nowadays it's like there is suckling champion ship and a cup to be won. It's a taboo .

It was a taboo for a man to mash food in a pot. Pots are not shown 😂 😂 😂 wueh !

It was a taboo for any man to "borrow tobbaco" of a married woman. Francis Kariuki told me that tobbaco pinching is like nursery school game . Taboo!!!!

Finally but not least it was a taboo to marry sisters ,this was complete lack of head !
