The moment when the 2,500-year-old Polyxena Sarcophagus was unearthed, depicting the moment when Polyxena, the daughter of the King of Troy Priam, was sacrificed by Neuptolemos in front of the tomb of his father Achilles, and the local women who literally witnessed this pain that transcends the ages, 1994, Canakkale, modern Turkey.
It is interesting to note that the tumulus where the sarcophagus was found has been referred to as "Kızöldün Tumulus" by the local people for hundreds of years.
