Beautifully illuminated pages from a 14th century manuscript produced in Fez or Marrakesh. Intricate geometric designs, executed in gold, silver and colorful inks decorate the opening and closing pages of this medieval manuscript, and help to highlight the internal divisions of the text. The pages are made from parchment, specially prepared untanned sheepskins.
