Iraq in Akkadian:

The land of Iraq was formed in the Akkadian era, the first empire in history, and the name of Iraq and the surrounding countries shared the name (Kibrat Arbaim) and its meaning (the four directions), and is pronounced in Sumerian (An -Ob-Da-Limu-Ba) and more briefly (Anubda-Nimuba). Perhaps it was Sargon of Akkad. Or his grandson Naram Sin is behind this name.
