NAJINA. already announced, here is a picture of Najin, peacefully eating her grass and leaves. She is Fatu's still living but also very sick mother, who was born on July 11th, 1989. The remaining population is therefore limited to just two animals, of which Fatu is the last of its kind. Due to this more than sad fact, the northern white rhinoceros is classified as the rarest large mammal in the world.

I had already posted further details about FATU on December 28th, 2023. Please read there again if necessary.

THE LOVE OF ANIMALS CONNECTS PEOPLE ❤

There you will find further links and background information on this rhino tragedy. Also a very detailed article from the WWF on the topic "What drives rhino poaching?". It's a huge mess what is being done with these wonderful and warm-hearted animals, just because a certain consumer group values rhino horns as a status symbol or luxury item - among other things - to show off their own wealth. This makes me incredibly angry !
