WHY THE BININ PRACTICE IGBO FOUR MARKET DAYS?
History will never forget that until this day the Benin people adopted the Igbo four market days – EKE, ORIE, AFO and NKWO as the days of their week?
Again,why are we not talking about the owners of the land the Binin's are presently occupying before the Yoruba's (who are the present Binin people) came and invaded the land from the real owners?
Have you ever heard of IGODOMIGODO in your history books? They were the first aborigines of the present Binin territory known as the Idu people. This is another topic for another day.
Until date no Binin man has named his offsprings "AKALAKA", why are they not bearing that name if an Oba can name his child Akalaka?
Now your brain should tell you why Akalaka doesn't have any resemblance with the Binin man and his language, culture and traditions. You must be sound enough to rightly place the dots.
