The number of national languages and dialect spoken in the country is more than 240. The most notable ethnicities are: BANTUS: Beti, Bassa, Bakundu, Maka, Douala, Pygmies.

Christianity is the predominant religion in Cameroon with significant minorities of the adherents of Islam and traditional faiths.
