Cognitive Toolset for Analyzing Complex Problems: A Doctoral Thesis and Academic Outline @FoT

Abstract

This paper introduces eleven unique tools for thinking aimed at enhancing the analysis and understanding of complex problems. By exploring diverse perspectives, this study encourages the reevaluation of existing systems and fosters innovative solutions through a multidisciplinary approach. The tools presented include the Interrogative, Dynamic, Concrete, Philosophical Quadrant, Comparative, Inquiry, Cognitive, Academic, Artistic, Innovation Hub of Dreams, and Cultural Frame. Each method offers distinct strategies for engaging with problems at various levels, such as questioning established norms, utilizing nature's patterns, embracing artistic and academic elements, and incorporating indigenous knowledge systems. By combining these tools, readers are provided with a comprehensive framework that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual development.

Introduction

This submission explores the significance and application of eleven innovative thinking methods designed to challenge the status quo of Globalized recitation academia, explore complex issues, and promote creative problem-solving. As the world evolves, it is crucial to develop and refine tools that enable us to dissect and engage with diverse and complex challenges effectively. This study aims to establish a new cognitive toolset that bridges academic disciplines, harnesses artistic potential, fosters critical thinking, and incorporates indigenous knowledge systems to generate fresh insights and solutions.

Methods

This section discusses the eleven methods of thinking:

1. The Interrogative. Using a three-tiered, seven-question approach to scrutinize the relevance, history, and future implications of current practices.
2. The Dynamic. A three-step method to analyze problems from different temporal perspectives, considering causes, effects, and the spiritual realm.
3. The Concrete Aligning thoughts with natural processes and studying patterns in nature for inspiration and guidance.
4. The Philosophical Quadrant. Examining a problem through four interconnected lenses: physicality, mentality, social aspects, and spirituality.
5. The Comparative: Drawing insights from global perspectives and benchmarking to contextualize problems and solutions within a broader landscape.
6. The Inquiry: Conducting thorough research and examining existing ideas from various sources to identify suitable approaches for specific problems.
7. The Cognitive: Relying on instinctive reactions, fight-or-flight responses, and experiential learning to address problems as they unfold.
8. The Academic Utilizing knowledge from multiple academic fields to create a multi-disciplinary approach to problem-solving.
9. The Artistic Transforming problems into visual/music,/craft or artistic mediums to gain unique insights and encourage creativity in finding solutions.
10. The Innovation Hub of Dreams Focusing on problems subconsciously, allowing dreams and intuition to contribute to the creative process. This can also be called the spiritual/esoteric/Natural tool. .
11. The Afrikan Cultural Frame: Leveraging indigenous knowledge systems, cultural idioms, and heritage to process and gain insights into present problems. This method integrates traditional wisdom and practices to offer a culturally grounded understanding of issues, facilitating sustainable and context-specific solutions.

Discussion

Each thinking method offers unique benefits to Afrikans and can be applied individually or in combination with others. By adopting these tools,
-researchers and
-problem-solvers
-overcome intellectual barriers
- explore uncharted territories of thought. Moreover, the interdisciplinary nature of this toolset promotes collaboration and learning across various fields of study, while valuing the rich knowledge embedded within indigenous and cultural contexts.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the proposed cognitive toolset challenges conventional thinking and encourages the exploration of complex problems through a diverse and multi-faceted approach. The eleven thinking methods provide researchers and problem-solvers with a new perspective on examining the status quo, facilitating the development of fresh Afrikan insights and innovative solutions while incorporating invaluable cultural and indigenous perspectives.
